Landbell Group and PureCycle Technologies Inc. are now collaborating with the intent of prioritizing and expanding the upcycling of polypropylene (PP) waste into high-purity recycled PP that can be used in demanding applications across Europe. 

The newly established Indianapolis Polymer Center builds on the success of the Las Vegas facility and will strengthen Republic Services' vertically integrated plastics recycling operations in the U.S. The plant has been designed by STADLER to process pre-sorted plastics collected by Republic Services to recover PET and Polyolefins. The centre will provide high-quality, food-grade recycled plastics for reuse in the production of new bottles, jugs, and containers. 

A new study has been published by Closed Loop Partners that reveals high volumes of recycled food-grade polypropylene (PP) are successfully captured at material recovery facilities (MRFs). 

The winners of the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) inaugural APR Recycling Leadership Awards were announced during the Opening Plenary Session at the 2025 Plastics Recycling Conference (PRC). Launched in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the APR Design Guide for Plastics Recyclability, the awards recognize packaging designers, manufacturers, researchers, or innovators who are improving recycling for plastics.

Republic Services, Inc., and Blue Polymers jointly opened North America's first Polymer Center and Blue Polymers plastics recycling complex. This collaborative facility will transform plastics' circularity, starting at curbside collection to consumer packaging and more.

Closed Loop Partners' Center for the Circular Economy has recently launched findings in a new report on small-format plastic packaging recovery. The report builds on over two years of market research and comprehensive recycling tests in partnership with Maybelline New York and its parent company, L'Oréal Groupe, bolstered by the support of additional partners Kraft Heinz, P&G, and Target.  A big problem with small plastic packaging 

World PET Recycling, part of the Logoplaste Group, works to advance the recycling of polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Located in Northern Portugal, the company has extensive experience in processing post-consumer plastic bales into food-grade recycled PET (rPET) flakes and pellets. 

At almaak International GmbH, roughly 200 employees develop and produce customized plastics for small and large plastics processors worldwide. Around 60,000 tonnes of technical thermoplastics are produced annually at the Krefeld and Doberlug-Kirchain sites. 

Circularix, a producer of food-grade recycled PET (rPET), is set to begin operations on its second production facility in Ocala, Florida, setting the pace for the company's expansion plans.
